Christy Barritt will keep you turning the pages. I received the first book in the series as a freebie. When I finished it I ordered the next one and before I knew it I bought all 6 books in the series and loved each one. I read all six books in less than 7 days. There is suspense, murder, gang related drug trafficking, humor- an ice cream that seems to have a mind of its own when it comes to playing music - even when its not turned on. You can read each book in the series as a stand alone but each one will not complete the whole story. Each one is better than the last and has a teaser at the end. There is human trafficking, romance, a lighthouse that plays a part in almost all the books. Some of the characters are just that - characters to love, laugh at, some that will make you wonder which side of the law they are really on. My kindle went everywhere with me while I was reading this series.No one asked me to read, review or say anything about these books. All opinions are my own and all I can say is that I was sorry to see the series to come to an end. I normally don't like series that go more than 3-4 books. I highly recommend the Lantern Beach series. WARNING!! You might lose some sleep or let a few errands go. I did.
I love this series and Flood Watch (book2) kept me guessing. As Cassidy continues to stay in hiding, another case opens up that may threaten her life even more. Can Ty (ex SEAL) and Cassidy work together to find a killer? Their chemistry and mystery kept me up late into the night. What a great sleuthing duo...I’m dying to see how their story unfolds!
I liked Flood Watch more than Hidden Currents. Cassidy started to give Ty a chance and not judge him so much as in the first book. The characters, the car, the story is well written. I don't read much about Ty's relationship with God much even though he's a Christian. I would love to see more of this since this is a Christian Mystery book. The story is more interesting and wonder if Bozeman is shady for some reason. He doesn't seem to have the makings of an officer of the law, especially one who's in charge.
I could not stop reading this. I was up till all hours. Loved the first book in the series and loved this one as much. Not a lot of series go that way. Such great characters and suspense. I couldn't read it fast enough, but I didn't want it to end. I NEED book 3!!! Love Christy Barritt's writing and her story telling. Love where it's going.
Cassidy and Ty are drawn into another crime after a friend is questioned about it. Trying to stay out of the limelight and out of trouble is harder than it originally sounded for a small island. One main story arc plot that keeps building right to the end, along with learning more about Cassidy and Ty plus a few others. Enjoyable series thus far and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.
After reading the first book in this series, I devoured this one too. I can’t wait to download the next in the series, to follow the lives of Cassidy & Ty, wondering how their lives will continue, while Cassidy is in hiding from threats of death. What a find this author has been, I can see myself reading all of her books if they’re like these first two. I highly recommend them, no graphic sex or foul language, which is a pleasure.
Cassidy is still trying to keep a low profile on the N.C. Coast until she can testify against the drug gang back home on the West Coast. She and her neighbor, Ty, get involved in another possible murder, illegal drugs and a friend’s abduction. Cassidy finds it more and more difficult keeping her true identity hidden from Ty and her new friends. Will Cassidy be able to trust God the way that Ty does? I’ve absolutely loved this series and am ready to read the third book!
A great sequel that I equally loved! Cassidy gets to meet Ty's parents, she is roped in to helping a friend clear her name of murder, her and Ty are falling for one another even as she resists, and she gets closure about something she needs that happened while she was undercover with the gang. There is much less of the ice cream truck in this one, but still another great book!
