My students are excessively talkative this year. They love when we do one of these together in class. They are focused and quiet. I feel like it is class time well spent. I purchased grades five through eight and love them all. I'm also sharing them with my coworkers.
I teach an accelerated math course and this was extremely helpful with setting up math notebooks. I substitute some of the materials from other blogs, but I really love the clarity and accuracy of the material.
I purchased this as a summer review for my 7th grader to prep him for the 8th grade. We really enjoy the hands on learning but it can be a little confusing and the wording on some of the definitions seem so backward. There are a few gaps in what is covered but after a little online searching I found additional interactive pages to supplement. Overall, I am happy with it and would recommend it.
It you have an artist on your hands, this is a GREAT way to teach them math.
