Great survey of contemporary ceramic sculpture and installation work. Artists from all over the world included. In the back of the book it reads that artists included were recommended. I do know of a few additional people that also should have been included but on a whole, I'm please to introduced to many new people. The commentary for each artist is thoughtful and insightful. .... really talks about the content of the work and the intention of the artists. My only criticism is that I wish the book was printed on glossy paper rather than mat. I believe the images would be crisper.Highly recommended.
Interesting book, but heavy on European artists. Not sure how artists were selected.
Meh.
purchased as a gift for someone else who wanted it. Very nice
