Great leadership book! This is the second book in the Clinical Mind Leadership Development Series and I really enjoyed the first book as well. There is a lot of focus on teamwork and leading by example, which I have found to be really important. The sections on delegation, motivation and persuasion were extremely helpful for me. I would definitely recommend this book for an individual leader or for someone looking for a series of books to use in a leadership class or seminar.
This book has laid out the skills that can help you be the leader that people admire. The author offers tools and insight that can benefit someone in any management position or even for business owners. The book provides different models and approaches to be the most effective from communication skills to coaching and mentoring to achieving goals. If you want to enhance your leadership skills then this is a great reference to have!
The book was well laid out and focused on personal as well as professional aspects of being a servant leader. The review at the end of each chapter helped the reader to take the main points from the section and combine them with the other chapters in the book. This would be a great read for supervisors and mid-level managers aspiring to take leadership to the next level, or those in upper level management looking to polish their skills.
This is essential material for both aspiring and current leaders. In the age of global corporate narcissism and psychopathy where Machiavellian traits are even seen as beneficial, the character and skills of a true servant-leader are much needed for companies and organizations to prosper.
This was a fantastic read, especially helpful for new managers. The perspective of surrounding yourself with super star individuals and creating cohesive teams is wonderful. The author certainly understands how to lead and how to learn. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to create a successful team!!
Great book in the leadership series. I enjoyed the challenge of this book. It really challenges the reader to perform a self reflection of who you are as a coworker. It points out the importance of being self aware of your behavior, how you interact with coworkers, and evaluate your skill set to be the best leader possible. Also enjoyed the leadership material provided in the links. This adds a visual tool to help examine the material in each section of the book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and have read several chapters over and over. I especially love the first Chapter because the author draws you in and you connect to her. You immediately get a sense that this book is different from most leadership books. The author does a wonderful job discussing how important the team is to the most effective leaders. Must read for all those in leadership positions as well as those who aspire to be.
Great book that describes the 12 core competencies of excellence as a leader. The book is full of helpful tips to become a more successful leader. My favorite tip is how to leverage diversity with subject matter experts.
